1910 – A syndicate takes up leases in Portions 14, 16 & 282 (ML6) Par of Kembla and drives two tunnels in the Bulli seam.
1911 – Harper visits mine site, records 7 seams outcropped in area but only top 3 seams worth mining.
1912 – In Warden’s Court, Mr W. E. Jones applies for a 6 month suspension of the labour conditions applicable to Portion 231 (Kembla Harbour Colliery). Proposed to form a company and build a tramway to the railway. The 6 month suspension was granted. (SMH 7/12/1912 p27 ex Trove)*

1918 – Notice of opening a new tunnel in the #4 seam of Kembla Harbour Colliery (DoMAR 1918)*
1919 – John Palfreyman, owner of Portions 229, 230, 231 & 297 request permission to prospect area. Located adjacent to ML6. No work takes place?
1921 – 4 men working (DoMAR 1921)
1922 – DOMAR reports Illawarra Colliery opened employing 3 men. Illawarra Coke Co (ICC) held freehold on Portion 193 and Mining Lease 578 (ML6). Assumed they had taken over from Kembla Harbour Syndicate. H. G. Hyde owned ICC and also held MP9 (622), MP11 (626), ML12 (624) & ML13 (623).
Mining commences in Wongawilli seam in Por 193, driving tunnels towards his leases in the west.
1922, Nov - application to Wardens Court to erect an aerial ropeway from Por 193 to Port Kembla.
1923 – Hyde expresses concern as to suitability of Wongawilli seam and exploratory work was carried out on lower seams.
1924, Feb – application to suspend labour conditions in 578, 622, 625, 624 & 625 due to dyke encountered.
1924, Oct – lease conditions for proposed aerial ropeway still not finalised with concern as to effect of proposed Moss-Vale Unanderra Rail line
1928, Feb – application for further suspension of labour conditions in the 8 mining leases held by ICC [578,622,623,624,626,297,698,190]
1928 – ICC acquires lands from defunct Mount Kembla Extended Coal and Coke Co. (MKECCC) Portions:- 70,71,72,155,158,159,173 & parts 156 and 5 in Par of Kembla
